Illustrations and animation support services in support of the ConocoPhillips completions group
Over several years, Res3D had the privilege of working closely with ConocoPhillips completion engineers at their Houston office, collaborating on a wide range of internal, external, and white paper presentations. This partnership provided Res3D with the opportunity to work alongside brilliant minds, exploring cutting-edge completions, technologies, and strategies for funding, development, and implementation in the field. These projects spanned the globe, from Norway to West Texas to Alaska’s North Slope.
Res3D’s illustrations and animations proved invaluable in conveying complex concepts and data during presentations to peers and cross-disciplinary audiences, allowing the visuals to speak volumes. Through close collaboration with the engineers in their offices, Res3D gained a deep understanding of each project, enabling them to develop tailored plans for presenting the materials effectively.
Oil & Gas GE
Animation for the GE Customer Center in Stavanger, Norway in support of the interactive multimedia effort.
We produced a 3D animation video that demonstrates the installation of a GE DVXT deep water well in the deep cold waters off Norway’s coast using GE components. The video is prominently displayed on a multi-screen large format video wall and is central in welcoming customers and visitors to the center.
In addition to the animation, we created an immersive surround sound score that features metallurgic and underwater sounds. This score adds depth and realism to the video, making the experience even more engaging and informative.
Oil & Gas Nabors Alaska
Illustrations and animation for training and orientation video and interactive solutions for COP’s CDR2 and CD3 AC CTD rigs
We specialize in providing comprehensive 3D computer modeling, animation, and interactive media solutions for Nabors’ CDR 2 and CDR 3 AC tube drilling rigs, which were being built for their esteemed client, ConocoPhillips. Our cutting-edge 3D animations were combined with video footage from the Kuparuk site, a sound score, and professional narration to create compelling videos that showcased the rigs’ capabilities and features.
Using a 3D model afforded the narrator the ability to showcase the rig from various angles quickly and easily, without the clutter and distractions associated with an actual well pad. Furthermore, both videos were produced before the rigs were completed and deployed, demonstrating our ability to visualize and simulate complex processes with precision and accuracy.
In addition to the orientation videos, we created two separate training videos that explained the tripping in and tripping out process of the well. These videos were an integral part of the training program, ensuring that workers understood the process clearly, leading to improved safety, efficiency, and productivity.
Overall, our expertise in 3D computer modeling and animation, combined with our ability to integrate video, narration, and sound, allowed us to deliver high-quality, customized media solutions that exceeded our client’s expectations.
